It seems an update to my bio is warranted

Nine months ago I started writing here on Medium. As much as it was a public exercise in sharing my thoughts and opinions, personally to me it was a place to contemplate what am I wanting next in life. I am thrilled to say I know what that is, I’m getting back together with the founding team of Flux7 to build the infrastructure we wish we had as green entrepreneurs. Please check out our latest post on the Vixul blog describing in detail what we’re doing.

A bit of a backstory though. I resigned from my position at NTT Data Services end of February and have spent the last two months contemplating what I want to do. Most of March was spent helping organize OPEN Texas and building the Austin chapter of OPEN. Which reminded me of my passion for startups and building businesses. Of course you saw glimpses of that because even though the ostensible purpose of it was R & M, I kept on going back to sharing lessons of leadership with more vulnerability than I could otherwise. As you saw in my posts Getting Fired Part 1 and Part 2, I embarked on my entrepreneur journey at a low point in my life. But it has been the most fulfilling creative exercise I have undertaken. And I wish to enable others to find the same level of satisfaction and fulfillment.

Vixul is about giving IT services companies in rapidly growing ecosystems, what we call Emerging Tech Services (ETS), the same kind of resources available to SaaS founders to help them scale and build equity quickly. What that means in practice, is described in gory detail in both our sales deck which in our commitment to transparency and laziness is uploaded on our home page: vixul.com and our first blog post describing why we started Vixul and why we believe we are the right team for it.

Please check out the post above, share your thoughts we are very much still in the exploration phase and are rapidly incorporating feedback, and send your well wishes and prayers as we embark on this new phase. If you are interested in helping this initiative as an advisor or an SME, or if you would like some help with your own venture please reach out. If you want to know what the word Vixul means then please subscribe to our blog, we should be able to tell you in a couple of months what Vixul always meant and that it wasn’t because Aater randomly purchased vixul.com many years ago when he saw it for sale for $10.
